Frances Ford

FPFS, Cert SMP, Cert CII (ER)

I am a Chartered Financial Planner with Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society, with 11 years experience in Financial Planning. I have been featured in Vouched For's Guide to Top Rated Financial Advisers distributed in The Times three times, most recently in 2022.

About

When starting my own business after 6 years of employment in Independent Financial Advice practices, it was really important to me to be able to build a practice and offer a service that wholly reflected my values, and so Major Oak Wealth Management was established in March 2017 when I accepted an invitation to join St. James's Place as an Associate Partner Practice.

My values are what make the practice different from other financial advice services - It’s important to me that our advice starts with putting in place a plan, rather than selling a product, and if I think the best thing to do is nothing then I will tell you.

I continue to be committed to ensuring that my industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing a strong emphasis on my personal development. Having qualified in 2014, I achieved Chartered status in conjunction with Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2022 with a specialism in personal tax and later life planning. This, along with the pride and dedication that I place on developing solid personal relationships with my clients, ensures that am I able to offer a rounded and professional service.

Outside of my business, I can usually be found running around after my daughter! I enjoy playing the piano in any spare time I do get, as well as baking, cycling and horse riding – I’m lucky enough to have Sherwood Forest on my doorstep.
